Rancid and Rise Against just around the corner!

Friday, June 26th at Myth Nightclub pop punk pioneers, Rancid, will be in town for a show as well as Rise Against!, a newer band of the same genre. Myth nightclub tickets are on sale now for this event.

Rancid is one of those bands who tour just for the sake of touring. They are not touring in support of an album this time around. How lead singer, Tim Armstrong, finds so much time to tour is surprising considering he runs (and owns half of) Hell Cat Records.

Although Tim Armstrong from Rancid is now in his forties, he is taking Rancid on tour this summer (and (gasp!) it's not on Warped Tour).

I have never been able to really stomach Rancid, punk just isn't my cup of tea. But I have a soft spot for the poor guy after what his homewrecker of an ex-wife did to him. I love Queens of the Stone Age and I hate The Distillers even more than Rancid, but I really side with Tim Armstrong on this one. Poor Tim Armstrong found out that his beloved wife, Brody Dalle, was cheating on him with good ol' Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age via Rolling Stone Magazine. There was a picture of the two of them kissing outside a restaurant in LA. Poor Tim Armstrong, that is just no way to find out your wife is cheating on you!

Regardless, die hard Rancid fans and new fans alike can catch the show Monday, July 28th. This is an all ages show and Myth Night Club tickets for this event are on sale now.
